DIA 1: SANTA CRUZ Y SAMAIPATA
Airport transfer chosen hotel
At 07:30 we leave Santa Cruz towards the area of the valleys of Santa Cruz until we reach Samaipata a beautiful route, 60 flat kilometers and 60 kilometers through the mountain range where we will enjoy the fresh air and the lush vegetation and panoramic view.
We arrive at the archaeological ruin of the “fuerte” which in turn is a strategic point where 3 geographical regions are divided: valley, chaco and amazon. Lunch in the picturesque town of Samaipata.
In the afternoon tour of the craft center. Plaza and the surrounding area. On the way back we go to the waterfalls of crystalline waters which invite you to a refreshing and pleasant bath of water and nature.
Return to Santa Cruz. Arrival approx. at 7:00 pm
DAY 2: FLIGHT SANTA CRUZ SUCRE
Hotel transfer Viru Viru Airport in Santa Cruz.
Transfer from Alcantari airport to choose hotel.
CITY TOUR HALF DAY
Approximately three hours.
We visit the main museums of the city combining history, textiles, ethnography and folklore with the most representative outdoors sites such as plazas, and parks, as well as the architecture.
City Tour visiting:
Textile Museum of Indian Arts ASUR, located in a beautiful colonial neighborhood in Sucre, run by Antropologos del Surandino (ASUR), this excellent museum displays of regional textiles and traditional techniques . This program starts with the goal of revitalizing the traditional Tarabuco and Jalq’a textile areas. It exhibits traditional and contemporary textile production, a valuable Tiahuanaco collection and two music and dances halls.
Liberty House, formerly the Assembly Hall of the Jesuit University, where the country’s Declaration of Independence was signed, this house contains a famous portrait of Simon Bolivar. Its construction dates from 1621 as part of the Jesuits convent, later made a part of the building of the University, is the most important national historic landmark. It was a private chapel of the Jesuits and auditorium of the University.
OPTIONS. – You can choose from the following museums:
Liberty House, ASUR textile museum, Recoleta Convent and Museum, San Felipe Nery viewpoint (Liberty House is closed Monday), Cathedral museum.
DAY 3: PREHISPANIC ROAD + MARAGUA CRATER FULL DAY
We leave Sucre towards Chataquilla chapel, built of stone on top of the mountain of the same name and it is located in the middle of large rocks, and has a beautiful view. The site also witness historical facts, for there was assassinated the Indian leader Tomas Katari, who was among the first to call for independence.
Then, we continue on the Prehispanic road, this is a 4.5 km paved trail built by the ancient inhabitants of the area before the arrival of the Spanish, by which they travelled transporting their products in llamas to reach Chaunaca community, in this place come together Potolo and Ravelo rivers and form Cachimayu river.
From there we continue the trip in cars towards Maragua crater.
Maragua is a giant crater of 16 km2, it is notorious for the orographic scales surrounding. In a central uphill there is the cemetery of the indigenous community that inhabited the place. Return to Sucre.

DAY 4: TRIP TO POTOSI. EXCURSION TO THE MINE. CAYARA
Trip Sucre – Potosi. We leave towards the miner’s market where the guide explains about the uses, customs and traditions of the miners with the coca, dynamite, etc. Then we visit a mine in the “Cerro Rico” of Potosí, there we will see the different levels that a mine can have. We will also see how sacrificed is the miners’ work, an average of the age they die because of the asbestos inside the mines is 57 years. There are altars made by the miners, where they make offerings to the Devil. Return to the city.
Lunch. Transfer to Cayara hotel (40 minutes)
DAY 5: CITY TOUR. TRIP TO UYUNI
Trip Cayara to Potosi. We visit the Mint, Cobija Arch, San Lorenzo Church, Central Market, San Francisco viewpoint, main square, La Merced Church, Compañia de Jesús Tower Santa Teresa Museum. Lunch.
Potosi-Uyuni trip through the mining center of Pulacayo, where we find the first steam locomotive that transfer minerals to the pacific coast. Arrival to Uyuni, visit the train cemetery, where we observe locomotives and rusted wagons. Transfer to Colchani hotel of Luna salada or similar. Dinner
DAY 6: SALT FLAT ALL DAY
The Uyuni salt flats is located at a height of 3650 meter above sea level, composed of sodium chloride, lithium and magnesium. Both the dry season and the rainy season offer stunning views, plus the Inka Wasi island covered with incredible giant cacti and strange land formations.
Transfer to airport to take your flight.
DAY 7: CITY TOUR IN LA PAZ ALL DAY
Pick up from hotel to visit through La Paz secrets to enjoy the art of embroideres of typical costumes used in local festivities during the whole year in the city and its surroundings. Afterwards we will visit the historic downtown, observing some of the most important sites in the city, Plaza Murillo, the executive palace, the legislative palace, methropolitan Cathedral, Jaén street, (historic street that still preserves its colonial essences), a journey through the history of Bolivia in the museum of Ethnography and Folklore, San Francisco church, and the famous Witches Market. After lunch we continue with an out-of- this-world visit the Moon Valley and appreciate an aerial view of the city from the Cable Car. Tour ends in hotel.
DAY 8: TITICACA LAKE ALL DAY
Trip to Copacabana. Pick up from hotel, visit to the church of the Virgen Morena and the local market. Departure in shared speed boat towards the Sun Island. Visit to the Inca Garden, Pilcocaina Palace, Sacred Inca steps and fountain. Return in speed boat to Copacabana and continue by land to La Paz. Transfer to hotel.
